Interceptor Plastic

Heartworm question..is overdose a possibility?
I give my 55 pound dog interceptor once monthly. I took it out of the box yesterday, never unwrapped it from the foil and plastic. I never physically gave it to him, but now I cant find it. I just wanted to know if it would hurt if I gave him another one, if he did get ahold of it.
I would ask the vet for either scenario........it may be that a double dose would hurt, but no dose isn't preferable either.
Your vet can tell you exactly what to do in either case.
