WW2 Norwegian Fjiord RAF plane attacked German ship and came home with bit of the superstructure in the wing?
I've an idea the plane might have been a Mosquito (bomber) it was a bit awkward because of the geography of the area and it went in so low to score a hit that part of the ship got embedded in it.
I think the bit of ship is in a museum somewhere. can anyone tell me more about this event and if there's ever been a film about it?

The crippled plane arrived safely back at Banff with four feet of mast embedded in the plane – complete with the German pennant.

still don't know if/which movie featured this story.
Think the most likely plane was the Mosquito - twin engined fighter bomber - powered by two Rolls Royce Merlin V-12 engines. Super fast, made of ply wood. The bulk of the fleet of RAF Mosquitos were built in Canada.
