Butcher Birds
Where can I get real bird feathers?
I am doing a science project about removing oil from birds feathers (after oil spills), and I need to get a large amount of real bird feathers. Where are some places I might be able to find them? Would a butcher, pet shop, or zoo have them? Or what are other places? Online is okay too if it is reasonably priced and won't take too long to ship.
I need a large quantity so just going outside to find feathers won't work.
Try pet stores they may allow you to have the feathers from the larger birds ck out any folks near you that may have chickens, ducks, geese, so on and so on turkeys peacocks etc,etc.Ck out around ponds lakes where wild ducks swans and geese gather for a free meal such as breads people toss out also look around med sized buildings for pigeon feathers or crows or sparrows many places to look for feathers of birds not a craft store since these all have been cleaned and treated for humans to use...
