Australian Air Force fighter pilot ejection seats?
Hello. I am willing to be an Australian Air Force Fighter Pilot when I am older, but I've kind of turned it off because I'm getting closer to the actual limit of the maximum height and I just read on the F-35 Lightning 2 that Australia will do and I read on the flight deck and this is what he had to say. The Martin-Baker ejection seat is used US16E in all F-35 variants. The seat design US16E balance between the demands of major performance, including safety limits suv authorization driver load limits, and size of drivers. It uses a dual catapult which is housed in the side rails. What the average size of the pilot that this plan can contain people who are bigger or a little larger then the maximum height limit or not please help me
I do not know if it the same thing in Australia, but my father was a pilot in the U.S. Navy and had the same problem in that it was an inch or so over the limit high. He was cleared to fly even if they tried because its seat height is acceptable, which means that although he exceeded the height limit while standing on his torso was not over the limit. In summary I suppose if they not decide on a case by case because how do you measure standing does not necessarily mean all how how you will fit in the cockpit, legs and torso so different ratios one hand, he noted that he had actually always a bit of crouch to fit properly and they left flying years. This is a commercial pilot and now so happy to have a little more space I'm sure:)
