Why the Allies have no anti-tank weapons like the 88mm German?

I know it was an anti-aircraft gun the Germans have used with great effect as an anti-tank weapon and destroyed many Allied tanks.

The lack of goals. The Germans simply were not producing enough to justify the development of such important weapon that was most useful for the fight against tanks and aircraft. Moreover, these weapons are generally more useful on defense than the attack because being towed up by an army advance, set up when the tanks appear, and then again. In the west, the allied air power has been generally available to face German tanks when they pose a serious problem in our Sherman. For the Soviets, the gun on the Tank Destroyer SU-100 was comparable if not equal, at 88. With its nose gear, it has been done better against the tanks of the 122 mm gun tank JS II Heavy. The 100 mm was considered but rejected for JS II because the 122 is much more effective against infantry in buildings with anti-tank weapons, which were much more frequent than the German tanks.
