Why passenger aircraft flying so high in the atmosphere?
I know that commercial aircraft fly over 10,000 feet in the air. Why can not they fly near the ground? Has it something to do with air circulation? pressure? ascendancy? This is something that has always had wondered
The high-altitude air is thinner so the aircraft can work more efficiently at these altitudes. This means that is much more fuel efficient and low altitude. Also, this is usually you above all the weather and make the trip much more enjoyable for passengers.
